The Turtlecreek Township Road Department is responsible for inspecting, replacing and installing roadway culverts, signs and guardrails; mowing and trimming along township roadways and intersections; plowing snow and spreading salt during the winter; and maintaining two cemeteries.
The Township Road Department maintains 66.526 miles of roadways. Services include: inspecting, replacing, and installing roadway culverts, signs, and guardrails; mowing and trimming along Township roadways; spreading salt and plowing snow and ice; and maintaining two cemeteries. The Road Department may only perform tasks in the legal right-of-way.
The Road Department equipment includes five dump trucks, equipped with snow plows and salt-spreaders, a track hoe, three mowing tractors, one boom mower, a brush chipper, a backhoe, a Bobcat, and three service trucks.
The Department operates five days a week, Monday through Friday from 7 AM to 3:30 PM. Emergency services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, by calling the Warren County Communications Center at (513) 925-2525.
There are five full-time employees who are CDL-certified to drive and operate dump trucks, snow plows, and various pieces of other heavy equipment.
